I’m a weird person.

I know, I know, most people are weird, yes.

But I feel especially strange and apart from the spinning world. A Jack of many trades, master of none. Master of awkward smiles and saying words that people smirk uncomfortably at but don’t reply. Am I good at what I do? What am I doing? Is there anything truly special about me?

I’m laughable, unphotographable, finding my life palpable, and I like who I am.

The world teaches you to care about what other people think of you, That it matters. That that look they give you when you walk down the hallway, and you interpret it as a look that means they think you’re weird, or that your lipstick is funny, or that your hair is sticking up in the wrong way. The world never tells you that everyone else is so consumed with themselves that they don’t really care. So we’re built to care about ourselves and what other people think and how they perceive us and it’s just exhausting.

That’s why I like to hang out with myself and my cat.
Being a socially awkward person is not all it’s cracked up to be, and it ain’t cracked up to much. But it’s all I’ve got.

I wish I had more than four dollars in my bank account. I wish it was even my money. I wish I didn’t have to write a fifteen page paper or take any tests or even drive to school. I wish I could eat pizza without hating myself. I wish I could just not work out for a while and not hate myself. I wish I could sleep without feeling like there’s a million other things I should be doing. And I wish I wasn’t such a whiney brat about all those things.
